Best Microfiction 2025 Winner!!!

Over the years, I’ve made it on nomination lists for various literary community accolades, but this year, I finally got on the winners list!! Identity Theory published this story earlier in the year, and then gave me my very first Best Microfiction nomination. I was thrilled for the nomination, but didn’t think it would go anywhere. Until the list was announced. I had to double check to confirm that my name had actually made it!

If anyone’s curious, microfiction is usually categorized as a very small story, usually under 300 words or, in some cases, under 100 words, so the story is very brief. Perfect for quick commutes and short attention spans.
